Crazy for my Caiques collage

A collage of my caiques. Royal is the white-bellied caique (my avatar, she's my oldest) and Sugar is my younger baby, the black headed caique.

Royal is my sweetest girl. We met nine years ago at a Petsmart when she was only four months old (not a place I recommend to buy any bird) it was random and karmic. We loved each other right off and I took her home with me because I couldn't stand the thought of her living with anyone else.

Sugar is her younger buddy because my husband and I stay busy and we wanted her to have a new friend. Caiques are one of the few parrots that bond to new parrots friends without losing their bond with their humans.

This collage has snippets of them in various bouts of play and exploration throughout different stages of their life and age. You can tell by their different eye colors (caiques' eyes are brownish when they're babies, reddish orange when they're adults) and they're chest feathers (orange-ish yellow as babies and white as adults).

Caiques are too wonderful and playful to just have one image represent them!
